Stoke Gabriel is a pretty village with cobbled church walk, cider orchards, and the Quay down by the river where one can laze the time away.

It is an ideal centre for sailing, touring and walkig holidays, being three miles from Totnes and the nearby beaches at Paignton, Goodrington and Broadsands. There is golf at Churston and riding on Dartmoor which is only 15 miles away. Trips on the River Dart and the steam train are all favourite pastimes as is visiting Exeter, Plymiuth and Dartmouth. There are several National Trust properties in the area. There is plenty to see and do within easy reach of the delightful village whether you choose to stay for a couple of days or a week or more.

Those arriving by the A38 are advised to leave it at Buckfastleigh and take the A384 to Totnes and then the A385 towards Paignton. Approximately one mile out of Totnes turn right for Stoke Gabriel.

Those coming on the A380 take the Paignton Ring road. Turn right on to A385 for 1/2 mile, then turn left at the Parker's Arms.
